Pokémon has been around since the the mid-90’s and two decades later we are Pokémon trending again with the new app, Pokémon Go! For both adults and kids alike, you can surely anticipate this becoming a massive party theme. Get prepared with these Pokémon themed food items, and make your next party the best Pokéstop yet.

1. Pokéball Pizza

Using Cheese, pepperoni and olives, all classic pizza toppings, along with a little creativity this pizza becomes a pokéball for your guests. Not much artistic talent required, you can likely even request the design by your local pizza shop.

2. Pikachu Peeps

This one is so easy because half the work is already done for you! Coincidentally enough, adding a couple little touches to an already cute yellow bunny peep, and it looks just like a pikachu, arguably the most popular of the pokémon.

3. Pokéball Yogurt Parfait

This layered healthy snack can be made in a large or small portions for serving at your event. 4. Pokéball Dipped Oreo Pops

With the addition of a popsicle stick these are even easier to make than traditional dipped oreos because you can use the stick for dipping them while creating, AND eating them later.

5. Babybel Cheese Pokéballs

With the wax wrapping, and some careful knife wielding, these little cheeses can come in extra handy when hosting a pokémon party. The wax (and added black paper) will peel right off so your guests can eat them right away.

6. Candy Apple Pokéball

Help your guests to a little take home treat to remember your party later, or you know, just eat in the car on the way home. These pokéball apples may be smothered in more bad than their good centre, but an apple nonetheless, and frankly regardless of sugar content, that should count as a good solid serving of fruit.

7. Candy Filled Pokéballs

So clearly pokéballs are the way to go here with the theme, and why not? They’re simple and easy to make and can turn almost anything circular in shape an insta-transformable work of art. If you’re feeling ambitious these candy filled pokéballs are for you!

8. Fruit & Cheese Platter

Display is sometimes everything. Just simply how the fruits and cheese are laid out, with skewers in the middle, it sticks with the pokémon theme, and lends itself to the decor of the whole party with basically no special efforts to do so.

9. DIY Pokémon Cupcakes

Birthday parties are not cheap. Sourcing out baked goods and foods is popular because parties can be a lot of work too! Tight on budget, like nearly everything in life (with the power of the internet) you can DIY your way through. While these cupcakes may not be the $5 a piece kind you buy downtown, these are sure going to be on point for your party, and you get all that extra credit for making them yourself, too!

10. Pokémon Punch & More

Theming a party can get a bit redundant, especially with something like pokémon where it can look like pikachu and pokéballs literally everywhere. Playing up some fun other elements can work wonders as well, like simply naming your items with theme names that will be fun and quirky and make anything you want an easy addition to the party.
